Ayurvedic Facial Massage
About the treatment:
In Ayurveda it is said that the ‘life force’ is located in the head.
Ayurvedic Facial Massage works on stimulating the Ayurvedic pressure points (Marma points) located on the scalp, face and neck. By balancing the energy within these points it will promote health at all levels within body.
In Ayurveda, a person is seen as a unique individual made up of five elements: ether (space), air, fire, water and earth.
The Ayurvedic view of health focuses on the physical, emotional and spiritual well being and believes health is maintained by the balance of three life-giving forces or doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
If all doshas are in balance the person is in good health.
The Ayurvedic Facial Massage is customised for each Individual's Dosha which results in properly nourished, revitalised and balanced skin.
What to expect:
Before the treatment the client’s facial dosha will be assessed so that the appropriate Ayurvedic oil can be prepared. This oil will then be warmed up and used for the treatment. Client will be asked to lie on the massage couch. First of all the face will be cleansed and toned with products based on Facial Dosha. The warm oil will then be slowly dripped onto the client’s forehead and over the hairline, followed with a head, scalp, neck and shoulder pressure massage stimulating the Marma points. After this part of the treatment is completed the face mask can be applied.
